We have a rewarding and unique opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join us as a General Election campaign Intern.

Restore Nature Now General Election Campaign Intern

Location: Cumbria

Expected start date: June - July 2024 for a 5 month term.

Salary: £12.00 per hour based on 14 - 21 hours per week.

The opportunity: We’re looking for someone to coordinate the Trust’s local campaigning activity throughout the forthcoming General Election campaign. This will be a varied role, with options to get involved in whichever elements of engagement activity that interest you most. You’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and enhance your CV, meet new people and be part of a great team, build your confidence and develop transferable skills.

We’d love you to join us to help ensure that the need to act now to address the climate emergency and nature crisis is centre stage on the agenda of all politicians at the next election.

What we are looking for: Someone who can build on their existing skills and knowledge to make the most of this unique experience. Applicants will have a good understanding of current issues affecting nature and the environment and ideally some experience of working or volunteering within the sector. Most importantly, we are looking for candidates who are passionate and enthusiastic about the need to act now to address the climate emergency and wildlife crisis and who will work to ensure these are centre stage on the agenda of all politicians at the next election. We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, and able to work well within a team both remotely and in person. A full driving licence and access to a car with business use insurance is desirable but not essential.
