What we do
Our mission is to protect Cumbria's wildlife for the future and bring people closer to nature.
Cumbria Wildlife Trust cares passionately about wildlife and wild places – we’re here to put wildlife back into our land and seascapes to make Cumbria a wilder county with more space for nature.
- We restore and connect wild places
- We work with nature to tackle the climate emergency
- We support people to take local action for wildlife
We connect people with wildlife in real-time
Whether it's our osprey nest cam or garden bird feeder cam, or our seal cam or the badger web cam - it can be addictive watching!
We run nature themed events around Cumbria
Whether you're looking for a wildlife walk, an interesting nature talk, a wildlife conservation day or a fun event for all the family, we're sure you'll find something to suit in our action-packed What's On events guide.
We work with groups and partnerships
We work in partnership with other organisations to achieve the best results for wildlife. We also support special interest groups, which are made up of volunteers and experts in a particular field.
We inspire people to volunteer
Volunteers are vital to all our wildlife conservation work whether on our nature reserves, helping in the office or supporting local groups around the county of Cumbria.
