Partnerships with Cumbria Wildlife Trust are good for business, your staff and your customers – and they're good for our environment and wildlife too.

As a business, you can choose to play a vital role in sustaining and protecting the wild places across Cumbria. 

By working with us, your business will demonstrate commitment to supporting our high impact, local action which tackles issues that affect us all. You’ll improve the quality of the environment in which you, your employees and your customers live and work.

Beatrix Potter to date (April 2024), has raised more than £25,000 through ticket donations and their beautifully designed purpose-built tap to donate, which can be found in their foyer. Thanks to this money, more than 4,500 trees have already been planted at Eycott Hill Reserve. Do consider heading over to this wonderfully wild reserve – there’s so much to see alongside the thousands of newly planted trees!

Crossbank Dental Care pledge to plant a tree for every dental implant placed. Trees have long been recognised as a vital part of our landscape, and a healthy tree population is crucial in the fight against climate change.

Fibrus is supporting our pollinator conservation work with a £150,000 contribution as part of one of their environmental initiatives in the county. By 2025, through working with local communities and landowners, the partnership will have helped create or restore 15 valuable sites for pollinators, ensuring that they’re managed correctly and continue to be wildlife havens long into the future.

Lakeland Ltd previously donated plastic bag tax to create several acres of flower-rich grasslands, giving £40,000 over two years. They've recently (2024) committed to supporting our red squirrel conservation work with another £20,000 contribution, further extending their long-standing commitment to wildlife in Cumbria. This funding will help towards this iconic species’ fight for survival.

Ozone have committed to making a donation of £141,000 over the next three years to help restore a large area of seagrass near Roa Island in the Walney Channel. Thanks to this new funding, we can begin restoration trials on the seagrass beds to bring them back to their former size and health so they can thrive, along with the species that rely on them. This work will help tackle the climate crisis and help reinstate precious marine ecosystems.

The Cumberland are helping to support our red squirrel conservation work. Between July 2022 and June 2023, they donated £10 for every new house purchase mortgage that completed. They most recently made a £25,000 contribution towards helping to continue this vital work to protect this iconic species. They are also regular participants in Wild Work Days.

Ticket Tailor donate 5% of profits to charities working on the climate emergency. In our case, this means contributing towards our work protecting and restoring natural carbon stores, in particular at Witherslack Mosses which includes our Foulshaw Moss Nature Reserve. In 2023-24, £39,428 was generated by Ticket Tailor to help continue our work for this vital habitat and the species that rely on it. Watch this partnership in action (via YouTube)

We centre our Wild Wellbeing Days around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing in wild natural settings throughout the North West. Studies by the New Economics Foundation have shown that these 5 ways enhance wellbeing and have potential to reduce mental health problems in the longer term.

We can arrange group bookings or people can join individually so they can have their own space and time.
