What are local support groups?
Our Local Support Groups encourage more people to connect with and learn about nature. Our network of local support groups in Cumbria organise various wild and wonderful events for both Cumbria Wildlife Trust members and non-members within communities.
These can be illustrated wildlife talks by a guest speaker (which usually take place in winter) or walks, open gardens, presence at shows, plant sales, surveying and monitoring at local wildlife sites or even a duck race.
The groups are run by volunteers and are often keen for new people to join their committees.
How can I get involved with a local support group?
Members of the Trust are welcome at any local support group and are sent information about these.
