About the event
Join us to search for a host of wildflowers that grow across the limestone grassland and woodland edge of this great reserve, including several species of orchid. Help us count the number of flowering spikes to monitor our conservation work. With luck we should find species including Fly Orchid and Greater Butterfly Orchid, along with a whole host of other wildflowers that make up this special landscape.
We’ll also be looking out for out spring wildlife including our breeding birds, and butterflies.
The event is suitable for beginners and improvers of all ages who want to learn how to identify some of the key wildflowers, birds and butterflies in this type of habitat. Those under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
