Wildlife Club leaders and helpers - west coast Cumbria
Position details
Frequency:
WeeklyWe are looking to improve young people's access to nature by building on our bank of existing volunteers to develop our wildlife clubs. The more volunteers we have, the more we can share out the commitment and more children we can reach out to.
Working with our West Coast Community Officer Rosie, we need friendly volunteers to help set up and run these wildlife clubs, often beach based, engaging with local young people to bring nature to life.
This role involves working with children, so a DBS check will be required, we can do this for you. Patience and resilience are essential. We need First Aiders too, and we can also help you access this training.
As these are mostly beach-based clubs, an interest in the sea and shore is helpful.
Role is not suitable for wheelchair users or under 16s
If you love nature and enjoy meeting people who are interested in helping, please get in touch!
The Nature and You project is funded by a grant from the Cumbria Community Foundation through the Transforming West Cumbria BT SiX Fund.
