Role: Nature North Farming Investable Propositions Project Officer
Salary: £17,668.20 per annum (£29,447 FTE) plus pension contribution of 9%. Based on 21 hours per week
Contract length: Fixed term for 6 months
The Farming Investable Propositions Project Officer will work as a key part of the Nature North team, in supporting the Nature North Partnership to lead the Farming Investable Propositions (IP) for nature recovery at scale. You will support the Nature North Development manager and Farming Investable Propositions lead Natural England.
Background:
Nature North is a cross-sector collaboration that has come together to drive green growth and climate resilience through nature recovery in the North of England. Cumbria Wildlife Trust is the host of Nature North. Members of the Nature North Partnership Board include the Northern Wildlife Trusts, RSPB, National Trust, the Woodland Trust, the Rivers Trust, Natural England, the Environment Agency, the Northern National Parks and the Northern AONB’s. Nature North has recently received half a million pounds from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation for a 3-year project to develop Investable Propositions and an Investment Strategy for the North of England.
The Team:
You’ll be working with the Nature North partnership and Natural England who lead on the Farming Investable Proposition. You will also work with partners in the broader Nature North team, who are based at our partner organisations.
Who we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have good knowledge of the farming sector and an understanding of the politics and practice of one or more of the following areas: agriculture, nature and wildlife; economic growth and development; agri–environment, natural capital, nature recovery, net zero, levelling up, place-making etc.
