So where do I begin? I’m now into my third month as the Eycott Hill placement student here at Cumbria Wildlife Trust, and I’ve been involved in the work parties at Eycott Hill.
Eycott Hill was a busy place on Tuesday this week as lots of volunteers came along to help us as part of the annual Fell Care Day, organised by Friends of the Lake District.

The purchase of Eycott Hill is complete, we’ve got staff in place, and we can’t wait to get started on the exciting restoration and access project to improve the site for wildlife and people.
We've been awarded £1.6 millon from the Heritage Lottery Fund to buy and restore Eycott Hill.
