Walk Leader Training
Last month I did a two week Lowland leader training course, and now I’m working towards the assessment in the hope of being able to lead guided walks around Eycott Hill Nature Reserve.

This month we have had courses in dry stone walling, post and wire fencing and top wire fencing, meaning that our volunteers who came on the courses will now be on call ready to repair the walls…
We’ve enjoyed a fantastic summer working with our friends at Prism Arts, the Edington Centre, Eden Mencap, and Amy’s Care on an arts project inspired by the flower rich meadow at Eycott Hill…

I finally visited what, in my experience, has been one of our most talked about reserves: South Walney.
This afternoon we spent plug planting in a meadow overlooking Kendal and Oxenholme.
