Fun in the sun for Threlkeld Brownies and Rainbows
Threlkeld Brownies and Rainbows enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon at their local nature reserve Eycott Hill on Monday.
Get closer to the field and a little more behind the scenes by reading about the wild experiences, wildlife insights and recollections of staff and volunteers – writers from all over the organisation, from our Reserve Officers to our student placements.
We welcome guest bloggers! If you have something to write home about - whether you've got a trail cam in your garden, or you've been bird watching, or visited one of our nature reserves - if it's to do with Cumbria's wildlife and wild places then we'd love to hear from you!

All the latest news from the #FoulshawOspreys. 3 chicks are born, 1 chick sadly dies, and a new pair of ospreys try to take over the nest for themselves.

In March I’ve had a last push on my peatland surveys at Black Beck and been on an amazing bird ID course down in Suffolk.
This month, February, has flown by! I’ve enjoyed several sunny days, witnessed some drone action and helped with the recruitment process for the next six marine trainees.
I’ve had a busy month in January, working on various projects and have been battling against the elements to try and make some more progress with my bog surveys.
Christmas has soon been and gone but I have come back at full pace ready to do as much as I can before my placement ends in April.
